About
Stronger Together
Pacific Northwest Family Circle (PNWFC) is an all-volunteer community group that supports Oregon and Washington Families whose Loved Ones were killed or injured by police officers.

Meet Our Co-Founders. The idea of connecting Families to struggle for justice started in early 2016 when two mothers met, Irene Kalonji and Shiloh Wilson-Phelps. They’d both lost their sons, Christopher Kalonji and Bodhi Phelps, to police violence in Oregon, only 4 months apart.
Irene and Shiloh joined forces with other impacted family members, including Donna Hayes and Sylvia Dollarson, and with the help of dedicated supporters including Rossi Namirembe, Pacific Northwest Family Circle was born.

Meet Our Board
Join Our Circle
Pacific Northwest Family Circle has two types of members: Family Members and Supporters
Family Members:
Include those who have experienced police violence personally or are related to someone who has been killed or injured by police. They also either live in Oregon or Washington, or their loved one was killed or injured by law enforcement in Oregon or Washington.
Supporting Members:
Include those who themselves have not personally experienced police violence but they are dedicated to the mission of the organization and supporting impacted families.
PNWFC believes:
The lived experiences and needs of the Family Members should guide the goals and actions of the organization.
Supporters provide critical knowledge, energy, skills and help in the struggles for justice. We are a nurturing circle of people helping each other recover from trauma and grief while advocating for justice and change.
